The Voyants

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 June 2026

This Policy explains what personal data The Voyants collects, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.

1. Who we are

The Voyants (the “Service”) is operated by [Operator legal/trading name] (“we”, “us”), the data controller for your personal data. For any privacy question or request, contact privacy@thevoyants.com.

2. The data we collect

Account data: your email address, display name and language preference.

Your readings: the questions you ask (text), voice recordings you make, and the transcripts and translations created from them; and the messages you send in live chat.

Payment data: handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and limited details, but we do not collect or store your full card number.

Technical data: IP address, approximate country (used only to pre-select your currency), device and browser information, and basic security logs.

3. How we use your data

To provide the Service: create your account, take your question, transcribe and translate it, deliver your reading, and run live sessions. To take payment via Stripe. To send you service emails (confirmations, “your answer is ready”, sign-in links). To keep the Service secure and prevent fraud or abuse. And to meet our legal and accounting obligations.

4. Legal bases (GDPR)

We rely on: performance of our contract with you (to deliver the readings you buy); our legitimate interests (to keep the Service secure and to improve it); legal obligation (for example, keeping payment records); and, where relevant, your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

5. Your voice recordings

When you record a question, we keep the original audio so your reader can hear your own voice and so we have a record of your request. The audio is stored privately and shared only with your assigned reader. You can delete your questions (and their audio) or your entire account at any time from your account settings.

6. Who we share data with

We use trusted service providers (“sub-processors”) that process data on our behalf: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database, file storage and authentication, hosted in the EU), ElevenLabs (speech-to-text), DeepL (translation), Resend (transactional email), and Cloudflare (hosting, content delivery and security).

Your assigned reader sees your question, any voice recording, and the transcript so that they can answer you. We never sell your personal data.

7. International transfers

Some of our providers process data outside the EU/EEA (for example in the United States). Where they do, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision. Your readings are answered by readers based in Brazil.

8. How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your questions or your account, we delete the related content and audio. We may keep limited payment and transaction records for as long as the law requires (for example, for tax and accounting).

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent.

You can exercise several of these directly in your account settings — change your language, delete your questions, or delete your account — or by emailing privacy@thevoyants.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).

10. Security

We protect your data with measures including access controls, row-level security on our database, and encryption of data in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

11. Cookies and local storage

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such as your language, currency and an in-progress question. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

12. Children

The Service is for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the Service, contact us and we will remove the data.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows the current version.
